The Black Lion Insurgents are advocates for the spoken word, written word, and Free Speech. We seek to publish under-represented voices, as well as established voices. The Free Slang Poetry Review is dedicated to exposing novice, amateur, and professional poets and writers to larger audiences. We are looking for innovative voices that explore the subjects that are important to our times, such as class, race, sexism, politics, history, love, peace, and economics.
